This report outlines exhaust emissions and fuel consumption tests carried out by Ricardo on a vehicle fitted with an engine using the Fireball system.The results are compared with legislative levels of the time, and with published results of other vehicles using conventional combustion systems.Both diesel and gasoline vehicles are included in the comparison, including examples from Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Ford, Saab, Citroen, Mercedes, Opal and Peugeot.
